 A Tartan of our own 

Launched September 2026

“We are proud, thrilled and delighted to announce that we now have our very own Official Tartan.”

There are moments in creating something truly special when you have to stop, take a breath, and simply take it all in.

This is one of those moments.

The boxes have arrived… and inside was something that began many months ago as an idea, a vision and a very personal design.

Designed by us and brought beautifully to life by Lochcarron of Scotland, Scotland’s most prestigious and renowned tartan weavers.

Every colour and thread has been chosen with meaning.

The colours within our tartan have been carefully inspired by Knockenhooley Cottage itself, the breathtaking landscape and natural colours of the Isle of Skye, and a subtle yet meaningful nod to the Scottish Borders — bringing together the places, landscapes and Scottish heritage that hold a special place in our hearts.

From selecting every colour and thread, to seeing our design woven on the loom, we have watched an idea become a tangible piece of Scottish heritage.

And now, we are opening those boxes for the very first time…

It feels quite extraordinary.

This isn’t simply a tartan.

It represents our story, our vision, our heritage and the beginning of something very special.

A design inspired by home, Skye, the Scottish Borders and our love of Scotland.

Today, we share just a wee little glimpse…

Because there is so much more to come.

 A new story. A Scottish tradition. A tartan of our own.
